Lincoln County Recording Fees
Fees for recording deed records in Lincoln County follow the schedule in Oklahoma Statutes Title 28, Section 32. A conforming document is $8.00 for the first page and $2.00 for each page after. The $10.00 records preservation fee applies to every instrument recorded. A one-page deed totals $18.00.
Non-conforming documents have higher fees. The first page costs $25.00 and each additional page is $10.00. A deed can be non-conforming for several reasons: wrong margins, paper too large, text that is not legible, or missing required information. Plats cost $10.00 for one block or less and $25.00 for more than one block.

Document Filing in Lincoln County
Lincoln County requires all recorded deeds to meet specific format standards. The document must be an original or certified copy on paper no larger than 8.5 by 14 inches. Top margin needs to be 2 inches. Other margins need 1 inch. Text must be in English and clearly legible. Names and signatures of all grantors are required. Grantee names and mailing addresses must be listed. The legal description has to be specific per Title 16, Section 63, meaning you cannot use vague or general terms. Notarization is mandatory for the deed to have effect against third parties.
Since November 1, 2023, all deeds filed in Lincoln County must include an Alien Land Ownership Affidavit for each grantee. This requirement comes from 60 O.S. Section 121. The forms are available at the Oklahoma Attorney General's website. Separate forms exist for individuals and for business entities or trusts. Without the affidavit, the Lincoln County Clerk will not record the deed unless a qualifying exemption appears on the face of the document. Exemptions include correction deeds, transfer-on-death deeds, and court orders.
