As the ex officio Register of Deeds, the Le Flore County Clerk handles all property record filings. Le Flore County covers a large area in the far eastern part of the state, bordering Arkansas. That means the clerk processes deed records for a wide range of property types, from mountain land near the Ouachita National Forest to farms and small town lots. Warranty deeds, quit claim deeds, mortgages, mineral deeds, oil and gas leases, easements, and liens all flow through this one office. Once a document is recorded, it becomes public. Anyone can ask to see it or get a copy. Under Title 16, Section 16, recording creates constructive notice to all future buyers, lenders, and creditors.

Find Le Flore County Deed Records Online
Le Flore County deed records are available through OKCountyRecords.com. This is the statewide portal and it is free. No account is needed. The database holds indexed Le Flore County land records along with scanned images of the actual documents.
You can search four ways. Name search is the go-to method for most people. Enter the last name, then first name. Pick grantor, grantee, or both. Set a date range if you want. Choose a specific instrument type to narrow things down. The subdivision search works for platted property. Enter the subdivision name with lot and block numbers. For unplatted rural land, the Section-Township-Range search lets you target a specific parcel using the public land survey grid. If you have an instrument number or book and page already, the document search pulls it up directly.

Le Flore County Recording Fees
Le Flore County uses the state fee schedule under Oklahoma Statutes Title 28, Section 32. A conforming deed costs $8.00 for the first page. Each additional page is $2.00. Every instrument also gets hit with a $10.00 records preservation fee. Total for a one-page deed is $18.00. A two-page deed is $20.00.
Non-conforming documents cost more across the board. First page jumps to $25.00. Added pages are $10.00 each. Documents that miss the margin rules, use oversized paper, or cannot be clearly reproduced get tagged as non-conforming. Plats cost $10.00 for one block or less and $25.00 for more than one block. Pages with over 25 legal descriptions get an extra $1.00 per description past that cap.
Copies cost $1.00 per page. Certified copies are $1.00 per page plus a certification fee.

Filing Rules for Le Flore County
Documents recorded in Le Flore County must meet state format standards. The deed needs to be an original or certified copy on paper no bigger than 8.5 by 14 inches. A 2-inch top margin and 1-inch margins on the other three sides are required. The text must be in English and legible. Full grantor names and signatures, grantee names and mailing addresses, and a specific legal description are all mandatory. Notarization with a complete seal is needed under Title 16, Section 15 for the deed to bind third parties.
Since November 2023, an Alien Land Ownership Affidavit is required with every deed filed in Le Flore County. This falls under 60 O.S. Section 121. Forms are on the Attorney General's website. There is one form for individuals and another for business entities or trusts. Without it, the Le Flore County Clerk will not accept the deed for recording unless an exemption is stated on the face of the document.
Every deed also needs a "prepared by" and "return to" statement with name and address.
